    Sell price of gold is what 1380 right now? Australia is just not profitable to mine due to such high cost. Many projects will just not proceed now. So much of our populstion is employed/dependent on mining not just gold.

    Jobs will be cut. Unemployment will rise. People will default on their mortgages. Banks will be next to suffer by the end of the year.
