The AFR article might outdated as the brokerage fees where a little higher when I first started using Esuper.
That was at least over 4 years ago and for the last 3 years or so the brokerage fee is the same as non SMSF trading.
I think they still have a free set up for new SMSF. There is a lot of info on their site on how they operate.
