It wouldn't be such a big deal to me if they did not meet their "expected" end of quarter dateline, IF, they would just put out a simple/short announcement that it has been delayed. Just out of courtesy, wouldn't you let someone know that you would be delayed to a meeting, anniversary, dinner, and etc. I would think a good business exec would let their clients or shareholders know of a delay.
If they can't estimate timelines very accurately, why not just add another quarter or 3 months to the time they "expect" it and surprise everyone by getting it to us early.
