    cortis, your understanding of the word "class" needs improving. All of the attributes you gave to the word are descriptions of those words themselves: "courtesy and respect," are just that, they are not "class;" same as with "manners" and "showing consideration for others' welfare beoubnd ones own; overall a genuine caring attitude shown to ones fellow human beings, whoever they may be!"
    Class=grade=degree of=a group (species) of=a division between two or more different groups.
    Calling someone "classy" is to differentiate, separate in dignity and worth.
    By all means use the nouns and adjectives you've listed when you must judge someone but the sheer usage and meaning of word "class" refers to the "upper" and "lower" classes of primitive England.
