costello, unfortunately for him, has this rather pathetic way of dealing with questions by trying to be witty & laughing over them - in other words, a smugness that i don't think endears him to the electorate
the worm question was fairly straight forward - and if costello is not seriously asking himself these very same questions as to why he is not popular, he will be a lost cause - treasurer & leader are two very different persona requirements
