trying to determine who has wealth and who hasn't can be tricky.
In the rural sector it is generally accepted that most farmers are asset rich but cash poor, they have low disposable incomes but on retirement, their assets being their "superannuation", hopefully are sufficient to sustain them in retirement. Many become self funded retirees because of the value of those assets.
On the other hand there are many employees who are asset poor but have a substantial family home, a high disposable income and a constantly growing super fund, but many of these will still end up on pensions I expect.
So is being rich the same as living a rich lifestyle?
