What can we spend on that will help the economy of Australia? The list below shows where the money will end up. The only Australians who will do well are the middle men. And there's not many of them
Overseas travel? Money gets spent O.S.
New Car... Germany (ps.. If you think I'm stupid enough to buy a substandard Aussie built car, you've got another thing coming.)
Plasma TV .. Korea or China
Solar Panels, Wind Generators... China
all sorts of gimmicky "stuff"... China
But, most excellently, if we each buy 5000 tons of iron ore or coal, we will put something into the Australian economy.
Gilly.. I don't have anywhere to park the 5000 tons, could you let me use your back garden? It's for the good of Australia, so I know you'll only be too happy to oblige...
Meanwhile, I'll stand by to see what the next great idea to screw the SMSF retiree is going to be.
Every new one, edges edges me closer to cashing up and moving somewhere where I can get value.
Somewhere where I don't have to pay $100+ an hour for some self styled "tradie" who is little more than a charlatan, somewhere where coffees don't cost $10, haircuts don't cost $50. And best of all somewhere where people smile and don't whinge and are not insanely jealous of your perseverance to have worked and saved over 40 years. Somewhere where there are no loud mouth CenterLink bludgers on faked disability pensions....Ahh..nirvana!
And where would that Nirvana be?.. Hmmm... Just about everywhere that I've looked actually.
