All the the financial reporters in the newspapers were also telling me that I was being conned by Wayne McCrae and co.... and yet now they are starting to sing a different song.
While I respect your opinions, I certainly do not concur with them....foreign ownership is always a problem....sure, some jobs may stay, but the profits derived from their existence are siphoned off to other parts of the world instead of being reinvested into our great country so that further jobs are created here, not elsewhere!!
I liken it to the plug being pulled out of the bath....eventually, there'll only be a few dregs left...
Whatever happened to " Buying Australian " - I wasn't even born in this land yet it would appear that I cherish this country and am more patriotic to it than others that would allow the few remaining "Australians" to leave....
Cases in point - Vegemite....or BHP "the Big Australian" who got married and took a new last name "Billiton". Tell me how much of Bhp is now foreign owned - 70%, 80% ????
Seems that "I Love A Sunburnt Country" more than the rest of you...
