I concur that both major parties failed to elucidate substantial policies directed at the reduction of debt or budget repair. But there is much to be garnered from a reduction of waste and targeted spending to facilitate a stronger economy. Regardless, as you well know, Australia is faced with a long road ahead and unprepared for any future black swan events. But there has to be a starting point and the can cannot be kicked down the road any longer.
