Just happened on this article a couple minutes ago about our Reserve Bank and Treasurer (Peter Costello) selling our gold reserves back in 1997 which has cost us about 5 Billion very BIG ONEs.
So, not only did the Coalition sell our $60 billion Telstra (forgoing annuity dividends and causing untold investment obstacles in the telco arena) but they sold the family gold at rock bottom prices.
$5 billion exceeds that part of pink batts & BER that were considered a waste.
