JC, I'm surprised you are perpetuating this mith that Keating wontonly gave us high interest rates.
You, being well read, should be aware that Paul Volker (a yank) forced these rates on the world. Definately then, and possibly still, the US sneezes, Australia catches cold. Or are you sugesting that because Oz raised rates the Yanks had to follow?
