Yeah where is he when you need him. ALD is now more than 80% owned by the top 20 including funds.
When unit holders in funds want to bail fund managers have to sell shares if they don't have enough cash to cover. Much of their stock could be illiquid and they are forced to sell whayever they can.
So there are advantages and disadvantages of being owned by fund managers and instos.
Bt the way, what does everyone think about the share based payments to directors to be voted at the AGM? They Seem extremely generous to me and threaten to dilute all share holders. I don't mind providing incentives and reward but these could be a bit rich. 10 million 35 cent options to Caruso, worth over 1m on top of salary.
