Maybe I am mistaken but my understanding of the recent past statements by RC was that if the SoA fails, then the current board will go and if the board goes, no then he too is resigning.
That sounds very specific and with a high degree of certainty to me. Obviously situations can change as circumstances change but RC has not corrected his earlier statements, therefore I am thinking he is settled on that plan of action.
If that be the case, we will be looking for a new CEO in the very near future after the failure of the SoA on Thursday, and the resignation or sacking of a large part of the BoD.
I can think of a few people I would nominate if I were in a position to do so, but as that is not the case, I will leave it to the new BoD to agonise over who is best suited to manage the revitalised CTP through the difficult times ahead. That is especially so in regard to the procurement of funding to get gas out of the ground and MB out of our company.
However, if the new boys at New Direction can find $100m when they have so little going for their bid to set up a new BoD, then surely those from Option Co can do the same or better.
