Sounds like a bit of PR work by gov. This latest move suggests that gov are ready to allow Kingaroy plant to start operating. Keeping in mind Gov. has also yet to allow CNX to operate commercially, which imo rests on CXY situation to a large degree (politically speaking). Also, CSG debarcle will become an even bigger issue for gov if CXY's Kingaroy plant is not allowed to open - especially given the circumstances in which it was closed in the first place (gov primary reason for closing Kingaroy was based on a lab mistake).

Seems that DERM only informed the group to the extent that it could within its legal limits.

KCCG will always be vocal, particularly while the project remains closed (for they believe they have succeeded). The gov would be well aware that KCCG have no plans to stop with Cougar Energy. So any permanent closure of the Kingaroy plant will only cause the stupidity and arrogance of KCCG to grow and become a greater problem for the gov. I say 'stupidity' and 'arrogance' because this is how KCCG have proven to operate their campaign. If that were not the case, i would gladly say so.
