Dear Cougar supporter,

Last night's meeting was very successful. We were joined by an anonymous leading UCG industry Expert.

Momentum is bulding on hotcopper and the response to the action group has been encouraging and positive. This is a huge undertaking and will require the assistance of all concerned CXY supporters and shareholders, disappointed, shocked and angry by DERM'S handling of this matter.

We firstly asked the questions:
What do we want to achieve?
Who are we trying to appeal to?

Do we want to influence Government and the opposition, as a group of shareholders that hold a vested interest? Or do we want to be seen as a concerned community group, that feels that Kingaroy businesses and residents will suffer as a result of DERM 's decision, and the environment will be affected by not listening to the experts such as Ross Garnaut in respect to encouraging the development of cleaner coal burning technologies.

We felt there were many angles that we could use to get attention from journalists looking for a great story. We also felt that we needed to find the angle that had the greatest impact on the Govt and the public.

Action 1: Find hard hitting journalists willing to expose the following issues in the media: (my techical jargon may need correction, however I hope you get the idea)
the credentials of the Independent Scientific Panel used by DERM to pass judgement upon the Kingaroy Trial Burn Plant. Interview
why a company that invested $20,000,000 on Trial Burn Plant was not allowed to complete the trial. In spending this money the jobs that were created and the local economy that benefitted from CXY's investment. Interview Kingaroy locals and businesses that were pro the trial burn.
Why UCG - a PROVEN power generating fossil feul burning technology that leaves way less of a carbon footprint and has alot less carbon dioxide emissions than other power generation technologies (coal fired power stations, CBM), has not been completely understood by DERM, the Kingaroy farmers (mainly Damien O'Sullivan) and local member of parliament Dorothy Pratt.
With the 1.2GW Tarong Power Station (the 2nd most poluting power station in Australia) possibly being shut down in the near future due to the carbon tax scheme, one would consider CXY's proposed 400MW power station to be a significant edition to QLD's Power Industry, particular with the threat of an energy crisis in QLD.
We welcome more ideas from the action group.

We intend to talk with Sam Burgess from the ABC, who has been particularly severe on CXY. We would like to educate him about UCG so that he can portray a more balanced argument.

Any of you that know journalists, please ask them if they would be interested in following up a story. Let them know that we can assist them with all the technical jargon they require.

Action 2: Write letters to the following politicians:

Kate Jones - QLD State Govt Environment Minister
Stephen Robinson - QLD State Govt Mines and Energy Minister (the guy responsible for the recent Wivenhoe Dam situation)
opposition ministers for the above portfolio's

By thursday we hope to have a top ten list of reasons why CXY should be allowed to operate and continue their trial burn. This will be compiled by an anonymous leading UCG industry Expert. This information can be used to assist you create excellent content for your letters.

Action 3: Write to Len Walker and the CXY board and ask them to update the market and shareholders on their proposed plan of action. If the decision gets turned down again on the 28th february, will CXY be taking DERM to the land and environment court? Do we have case? Any opinions? Unless we know DERM's rules and terms for the pilot plant, and the grounds for them to cease the pilot burn, we have nothing to work with. Len must be able to answer these questions to the market!!!

Action 4: We require LEGAL assistance and advice on whether shareholders have grounds for a class action against DERM. Is there any evidence of misconduct or corruption in the selection of the ISP. Are there any outcomes from the ISP's report that can hold DERM liable for financial loss to CXY shareholders.

Action 5: Does anybody know a 3D Modellor that could create 3D animation of the UCG process for educational purposes? We feel the public requires education about the process and ground water safety of the UCG process. The current smear campaign has been detrimental, and this needs to be corrected in the public's mind.

We intend to have another meeting soon. I await for more information to come to hand.

In the meantime, please ask your circles of influence for a favour in creating awareness. Round up any Journalists, Corporate Lawyers, or politicians you know. Inform them of what is happening and voice your concerns. If they need research or content, we can assist.

Once i get more research and i will disseminate immediately. Let's individually start writing to the politicians concerned for starters, while we build supporters and momentum?
