No downramping from me at all, I was mentioning their alternate ways of getting data. I have also heard the LI suit doesn't have anything to do with 1PG. I outlined in the snippet from the article that this was different. The ones who LinkedIn are after had actually opened up accounts with them and then circumvented the measures put in place to stop scraping directly from their site. 1PG from my understanding has never done this!
