Could AVZ be a takeover target by Rio Tinto

Would Rio consider taking over AVZ given the recent statements made by it's CEO? AVZ would be a logical takeover by Rio.



“At the 2021 investor day, CEO Jakob Stausholm said Rio would look to double its growth capex up to $US3bn per annum from 2023 and step-up M&A to add attractive projects to the portfolio,” he said in a client note.“This suggests Rio may still be on the lookout for additional lithium assets, in our view.”
