While the latest news from the Islamic Republic of Iran of the mullahs ain't no good, actually, IF the UCL management play their cards correctly , they may come out of it smiling (along with the shareholders, naturally, YOU)......
    How?
Well, here is the most plausible (hypothetical, of-course) scenario.
The Iranians reneged and try to cancel all their previous legally binding agreements with UCL.
Union, not only responds, as they have, BUT (more importantly) make the RIGHT NOISES where they can be heard and can have the greatest favourable impact. In the USA, EUROPE, Russia and China.
They are the main players, at the moment discussing the severity of the imminent UN sanctions against Tehran, for failing to suspend its Nuclear Enrichment (see: Prelude to Nuclear weapons) Programme.
The Islamic Iranian Regime is desperately endeavouring to convince the WEST (and the EAST), they are (internationally) a Law Abiding Country. Thus the last thing they can afford right now, is to have further bad publicity via an International Mining Scandal which was initiated by them, and is could easil, further alienate the rest of the World (commercially) from them.
So.......If UCL play their card, professionally, and following the relevant articles of The International Law, they could demand COMPENSATION not only for the moneys, the expertise and the years they have spent in their project in Iran, BUT at least another 100 million for opportunity lost, before the relinguish any rights to their Mehdiaded Project (rightly spelled? Sorry if not..).
Union as a last resort, and if the Iranians do not come to a favourable for UCL agreement-settlement, can threaten (and do so) to take the Iranian Department of Mines to the International Court in the Hague.
I am sure, however, the mullahs have enough international flak to cope with at the moment. They would not want to face more bad (internationally ) publicity, thus the whole issue could be settled much sooner, with UCL pocketting some $150-200 easily.....
Enough dough, to re-invent themselves as a Uranium miner, thus bringing some long deserved smiles to their shareholders....

    Cherrs:)))

PS. 1). The above is a hypothetical scenario ONLY. It could very well materialise, however.
2). I hold no UCL shares.
