A message the UK decision makers dont seem to gasp or understand by just simply looking across the pond (the Atlantic) to the US as eloquently pointed out in the below article.

But perhaps the UK government do understand but there is no commercially viable gas in uk shale to produce as previously suggested by some uk geologists that most of the gas has escaped millions years ago due to the geological folding and faults of uk shale rock reservoirs. And all uk shale promises and hopes were just hype to attract investment.
AJL and Cuadrilla now have declared a total impairment on UK shale asset as the government does not seem to change their current position on shale gas despite the huge investment spent in good faith based in ministerial statement and regulatory guidance policy.

Yep, and almost as soon as the NT removes blockage on shale drilling in Oz, Tambouran (TAM) hits a big discovery in the Beetaloo basin SE of Darwin, with pressures at the deep end in the tier 1 category matching the Bakken Shale in the Dakotas in the US when that was drilled. The Beetaloo is big, size wise and is likely to match the total of the NW shelf with contract to supply the NT govt. and plans for connection to the Eastern States gas grid,and an LNG port facility at Darwin already underway. I think the UK is more broke than the NT govt right now, and the UK govts of both sides are not competent in this area.
They are such good managers, that the electricity price in the UK is about 29 p. kw/h, while the price in Russia is 5 p, and China 6 p. We cant talk, either. The gas price here in Oz is the highest anywhere in the world, bar none.
To put a buy recommendation on this one would require a degree of optimism that UK policymakers are not economic planning policy retarded, but I don't have that hope.
