However after the disgraceful flip-flopping of various UK governments who sold off PELs that companies like AJL purchased in good faith and sunk tremendous capital into in good faith, I place little faith in the UK shale gas sector. The UK deserves to have to pay top dollar for all their imported, carbon-heavy foreign gas having thumbed their nose at much lower carbon massive gas resources right under their feet.
Despite it being a massive call option on UK Shale gas , i am placing zero value on Cuadrilla's UK assets after so many years of being fkd over for short-term political self interest.
DeSpite the slow progress on chipping away at our legacy debt mountain, ANL is a leader in its field and consistently delivering in its core business. If it can keep delivering and keep chipping away at our debt pile, with upside from some initiatives to help the UK division pay its way, then we stand to eventually see this long slumbering sleeping beauty rise again ever so slowly from her slumber.
What an absolute sh*t storm this investment has been, but I would not still be here if I didn't believe we could get there (but OMFG it's taken some patience, faith and perseverence).
