A message the UK decision makers dont seem to gasp or understand by just simply looking across the pond (the Atlantic) to the US as eloquently pointed out in the below article.

But perhaps the UK government do understand but there is no commercially viable gas in uk shale to produce as previously suggested by some uk geologists that most of the gas has escaped millions years ago due to the geological folding and faults of uk shale rock reservoirs. And all uk shale promises and hopes were just hype to attract investment.
AJL and Cuadrilla now have declared a total impairment on UK shale asset as the government does not seem to change their current position on shale gas despite the huge investment spent in good faith based in ministerial statement and regulatory guidance policy.
