Something is definitely a foot. In my opinion The Australian is being overly aggressive in it's articles. The issues that it brings up are hardly uncommon in the telecommunication industry and I doubt that there is a time when the ombudsman isn't investigating a complaint towards any of the major telcos from dealers, customers and employees.
Optus has components of it's business in offshore locations for years and this is no big surprise for the telco industry.
Soul continues to look for efficiencies and profitability however it appears to me the Australian is not focussing on this. In my opinion Soul is in prime value position to be aquired. Where the Australian fits into this I don't know.
