that may be so but the this "new" wireless service has been around for around a year or so. While Telstra may have a polished and professional advertising campaign the service itself is just not up to scratch. I've been using it myself for over 6 months because I have no other option but the EVDO coverage is a joke. On the EVDO fringes , which in Perth is only a couple of kms away from the CBD I've managed to get around the 160 kbps and between 80-110kbps on 1X depending on the weather which is better then nothing at all but I would hardly call that broadband. Telstra and Unwired are just pawns, the real battle for control of wireless goes on between Qualcomm and Intel.
