There may be some advantages for Orbis to lower their average holding price.One advantage could be to maximise losses this financial year when everyone is expecting it to happen and set themselves up for a good year next time by starting off with lower values. Could be other reasons like putting a loss in one department and transfering the shares legitimately to another. Just guessing the possibilities but if it is happening then there must be a reason.
