No, not CER assets, according to Financial TImes, Land Lease is offering CNP assets for A$496B. This should be positive move. I rather Land Lease managed CER assets than having insolvent CNP. CER SP height of 0.405 2 weeks ago was partly due the news of a buy out by Land Lease, however at that time there were no details whether Land lease is buying the whole group or just CNP portion of properties.
Now the media speculating Land Lease with the backing of Singapore SWF and Canadian pension fund are buying out CNP. At least more details are emerging. We shall see how this pends out.
