As this Hurricane moves towards Florida dubbed the hurricane of the Century, response by the Democrats will be important. Trump has already been critical of the response to Helene, but that is no surprise . If damage is major the Dems will need to provide major support. With US debt at $38 trillion then this adds further pressure. Something must surely give. That could be financial support for Ukraine. If the Dems continue to support Ukraine at the expense of US citizens that would be a bad result for Kamala. Can America afford to do both? Surely at some stage the cost of servicing borrowing will be too much.
