See link above. Insurers are pushing for a national flood map of Australia in order to assess flood risk. With Nearmap already holding the majority of the population area, and the ability to achieve high accuracy automated elevation modelling, surely Nearmap would be the standout choice? Now that Nearmap are on the federal government approved tender's panel isn't going to hurt either.
Anyone else think Nearmap could be successful in securing a very large $$$ project if this goes ahead?
