It’s been a learning curve journey to understand PYC’s unique RNA dual platform approach let alone starting to assess the competitive landscape. But like Rohan quoted in The West, the complexity of the team’s tried and true precision medicine pre-clinical approach, led by Sue and team is under appreciated here in Australia, by a factor of 1 to 7; vs USA where FDA has faith in Sue’s work.
Sad thing is when there’s no other cure out there - patients will accept the risks and unknowns - it does get desperate when it’s life and death - those who had loved ones who have journeyed there will know - but they sign up with full consent; they then cross-over from patients to participants (guinea pigs as one once joked)… and they do it with the hope that if it doesn’t help rescue them, their sacrifice might reveal another plank of insights to help finish the bridge for another who will cross it one day
