Will PYC help lead this new dawn in RNA therapeutics? @Linsanity
I know that we are talking our own book but its becoming apparent that the problems besetting gene therapy will turn attention increasingly towards RNA therapeutics. Specifically, Pharma will be looking for facilitated delivery RNA therapeutics. There appears to be two key contenders: PPMOs and GalNAC-siRNAs. I know nothing at all about the latter but the former could well enable PYC to become a global leader in the treatment of genetically defined disease.
There is a case study in this space that many shareholders will be aware of because of links to Western Australia. There is potential to quickly build a market capitalisation in excess of US$10B. Quick is a relative term in biotech which usually translates to years but the clinic and proof of concept is very close. In the end, all it may take is proof of concept. The dawn of RNA therapeutics may coincide with the sunset in gene therapy which is proving to be way before its time.
