There are two valid legal reasons why the referendum could still be called off. Those reasons have been laid out this week by an emeritus Professor of Law from the University of Adelaide.
Basically, anyone could use those reasons to seek an injunction to the whole referendum process, through the High Court. Perhaps this is the reason the GG has been holding back?
