Sector Catalysts are :
- Recent monster CR by PBR for US$73b (previous was Japan's NTT Docomo's CR US$36b raise in 1987)
- Chinese goldrush in brazil, after all the billions spent on OZ LNG, Canadian oilsands, some shalegas prospects in the US, it is Brazilian oil thats crucial, as noted in the recent US$7.1b (or 40%) sale to Sinopec by Repsol & $3.07b (40%) by Sinochem to Statoil's Peregrino heavy oil).
- OGX closing its dataroom on 30th Sept & working on the offers for a 30% sale by Xmas.
- Devon finalising its sale to BP for a few billion (Macondo was the show-stopper for the annc'mnt in March, they've sorted out the other international assets, so Brz assets could b around the US$3b mark).
Timing seems 2b right for KEI's listing (not sure abt the dollar parity or its impact).
One name that comes up regularly is Janus Capital.
They've crept up recently on Karoon's books & on the Bovespa they hold shares in Petrobras and an Ethanol listed entitty called 'Cosan'.
Anyone knows something abt Janus Capital?
