could the fda give accelerated approval?

    Just been researching the FDA approval process and learned that the FDA have the ability to grant accelerated approval after promising phase II trials. Usually for drugs that prove promising and are used to treat life treating conditions such as terminal cancer. Phase III trials are still required to later provide additional evidence for full approval.
