KNL reported the ash melting point of 1,305°C which is up to 150°C higher than Chinese supply.
End users have their graphite specifications for refractory applications. They give required levels of various impurities that make up the ash rather than the ash melting point.
There are other players who produce much higher purity graphite concentrate than KNL, exceeding 99 percent.
