    *LGL: J.P. Morgan boosts Lihir Gold price target by 27% as it upgrades price forecasts for gold, up 1.6% in 2010 and 6.4% in 2011. Even with 2% discount on

    Newcrest's recommended 1-for-8.43 plus 22.5 cent takeover offer, Newcrest's enhanced price target of A$44.30/share justifies upgrade of Lihir to A$5.37 from A$4.23,

    J.P. Morgan argues, barring any crisis to derail takover plan scheduled for completion in September.
