I am not sure what you mean by subsidised, Chimpbpoy.
The CEFC is a "green bank" that lends money the same as other banks do. The only difference is they target green enterprises which other lenders are reluctant to do.
The lead they provide is supposed to encourage other lenders to finance green projects and that is starting to happen now.
"Major banks such as Commonwealth and NAB are among those partnering with the fund on a range of projects. As one insider put it, the ultimate aim of the CEFC is to create "a distinct green asset class" that will attract more investment and more attention to the sector."
