You are forgetting that some of these refugees are not escaping persecution like the Jews.

I have read that even some of these "boat people" are even Vietnamese. That makes me laugh because i live a lot of my time in Vietnam and I can assure you, they are not being persecuted and live in a very peaceful country. And the Vietnamese are very very patriotic people who would only leave their country for economic benefits.

These people are not true refugees. They are economic exploiters.
