How about Australia giving "aid" to Indonesia in the form of technical skills when it comes to building boats?
Is there an ISO 9001 standard when it comes to building seaworthy vessels?
How about Australia allocate a much larger portion of it's "aid" budget to Indonesia in the form of boat building know-how? Send a few maritime engineers and shipwrights over there.
If you don't comply with the code your boat is deemed unsafe for any commercial purpose (ie. fishing, tourism, transport or people smuggling etc...) and if you don't comply with the boat building code you are out of business.
Ahhh Quality controls? Such a burden on business. LOL
