    Not sure what the impact of renewables is. Personally I think gas will play a part in phasing out coal generation as well as renewables. One things is for sure, the days of coal generation are numbered - but there are a lot of them. Coal plants can be converted to gas much cheaper than building a new plant - but the idea is bitterly opposed by the greens.

    In conclusion, its the gas glut, mostly created by the massive Aussie West Australian LNG industry, which is the main brake on the BTAs
