No, they didn't get more than $5 a barrel. They actually got slightly under, but feel free to keep lying to suit your own position. It's a pity for people like you that it's just too easy to search for past announcements.

Uganda is substantially different. The political conditions were/are ripe for Tullow to build an oil pipeline to get the reserves to production. That won't be happening in Puntland for many years.

And as for 'we told you to buy in'- I certainly wouldn't be paying attention to the vast majority of posters on any bulletin board as most of 'you' have little idea what you're talking about, and thus it's a sure fire way to lose money. Occasionally the ramping posters get it right, but then again even a broken clock is right twice a day.

And while I would no longer consider either RMP or Range to be great investments (at least, not unless Range can get Trinidad sorted out), your 'RMP has performed better' entirely depends on which timescale you're looking at. If you're looking at RMP's yearly low and comparing it to the price today, then yeah it's been a good investment, because dur, the yearly low is a LOW. Compare it to 6 weeks ago at 48p however and it doesn't look so great, because well, that was the yearly HIGH.

How about we look at RMP's performance from when it first listed on the AIM? Seems a fair starting point as that's when many UK investors would have bought in, and they make up the majority of holders. RMP opened at 30p and gapped up to 35p on the first day. Anyone who bought in that day is now just below break even at the time of writing, with the share price currently sitting at 29p.

18 months ago, Range was at 9p a share. That's where it currently sits today. RMP was at around 30p a share and that's about where it is now today as well. Neither has been a great investment, they've been good trading opportunities.

And RMP is still overpriced and has much further to fall. We'll have another chat at 15p.
