I think a TH could come as soon as the second week of November but then GJ's trip to Beijing (and not a short stay for that matter) could mean it could all be wrapped up pretty swiftly.

Perhaps, the only thing the Chinese are waiting for is some indication of what is the bid price that will get them over the line with a comfortable margin of safety.

First, let's look at the facts as reported in global media (not Matty's enthusiastic speculation).

    1) China has been busy writing Billion dollar cheques (one after another in a little over a year - $2.5B for 35% of asset) in a $800M market cap high-cost, low-grade 15MTA magnetite play Tonkolili struggling to make it's off-take obligations of just a few MTA to the Chinese. Value assigned by China = $6 Billion

    2) China valued the 45% of Simandou (where China as a minority stakeholder has NO SAY on the development schedule and where RIO has been dragging it's feet) at implied value of $4.5 BILLION (as asset with a herculean CAPEX of $20 BILLION !)

    3) China is widely reported to have outdone India to take over Wologisi, India was reported to be spending $2 + Billion as well as building power stations and roads as incentives. Could the Chinese be offering $3Billion + building bridges, hospitals and sports stadiums ??

But wait, unlike Simandou (a non-producer with mega capex 4-5 TIMES that of Mlabam-Nabeba and perhaps won't be producing by 2020), Wologisi doesn't even have a JORC definition. There is NO bankable feasibility studies, no mining permit. In fact, the EXPLORATION PERMIT has not even been granted to anybody. Wologisi (far from being a read-to-go DSO New-Pilbara is actually a prospect...LOL!)

Now this is question that we should be asking, what is GJ doing in China with the Cameroon top honchos.

Are SDL and Cameroon delegation (as some suggest 20c if SDL holders are lucky) in China being told that the prized gem of West African IO province with a ready-to-go, massive high-grade DSO resource that can justify development (with a 18 month payback for capex) and regional consolidation is only worth...

    1) 10% of magnetite Tonkolili
    2) 13.2% of $20B capex Simandou
    3) Around 25% of Wologis: a IO exploration prospect

    LOL !
