Maybe, I think some maybe not as close to Trump are surprised Trump is still pushing hard the way he is and it deserves a response.
It looks as though legal avenues have fallen flat and exhausted so Trump seems to be attempting another method. I think some may have thought Trump would have conceded even if only in activity by now. Those concerned with other matters may consider other methods naturally as a response to preserve certain norms and apparatus
