COULD YOU BE A COVID MILLIONAIRE?
    By: Stan Kipper.

The search is on across the globe for a vaccine discovery with the potential to arrest the COVID-19 pandemic. There are quite literally dozens of companies who's scientific researches work around the clock to crack the code that will lead them and their shareholders to not only scientific breakthrough, but also to extreme wealth.

One such company is Novavax (NVAX) - the company announced further positive phase 1 data for its COVID-19 vaccine candidate earlier this week sending the world ablaze with positive chatter and its share price hitting new highs again. Just last October 2019 NVAX traded around the 5-00 USD mark - but since has made eye watering gains to finish yesterday the 7th of August 170.29 USD a share.

But we must be realistic, and we must ask ourselves - will a vaccine be all that is needed to bring our world back to some kind of normality? Could sufficient amounts of vaccine be produced in time to save literally millions of lives? At what cost will the vaccine be made available and will the development and production costs leave the vaccine financially out of reach for many of our elderly and the poor?
The sheer logistics of transporting many hundreds of millions of doses around the globe would be a nightmare in itself, is it even possible?

Many scientists around the world believe that planet Earths human population will need something extra in dealing with this Covid catastrophe. Several of Australia's best scientific brains have also been working tirelessly and investors are starting to pick up the scent of potential huge financial gain.

Australian company PharmAust (PAA) has also been working hard and is in the process of conducting human trials on its revolutionary drug in the effort to save lives.

Monepantel (MPL) is an oral aminoacetonitrile (AAD) compound that modulates the mTOR pathway which is recognised as a key driver of many cancers. The mTOR pathway also recognised as playing a role in the pathogenesis of diseases such as Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s and various ageing disorders. mTOR inhibitors have been approved to treat various human indications including renal cell carcinoma, breast cancer, mantle cell lymphoma and pancreatic neuroendocrine tumours. The market for human mTOR inhibitors is valued at over $2 billion/year.

But wait, there is more to this little Aussie company than meets the eye A repeat preliminary evaluation of PharmAust’s (ASX: PAA) lead cancer drug monepantel and monepantel sulfone has found it can reduce transmission in cells infected with the current SARS-CoV-2 strain of coronavirus. This could change the whole ball game and just may be the answer to saving millions of peoples lives, rich and poor, young and elderly, close and in far away places and undeveloped lands.
