    DJWegs, Kevin Pieterson walks as well. And on one occasion against India (of all nations) we saw why walking is not a good idea. In one test he walked after the Indians appealled for a catch by Dhoni, the keeper. Then after seeing the replay on the big screen clearly showing the ball bouncing several inches in front of Dhoni's gloves he returned to the middle. After referring the decsion to the video umpire he was given not out and judging from the looks of the Indian players they were absolutely shocked by the decision.

    This incident also shows that Ponting's and Kumble's agreement to accept a player's word on catches was also stupid, because a player diving sideways or forward and stretching to take a catch is not always going to be certain if he took a catch cleanly or not.
