Could that be verdigris adding a splash of colour to the bottom of the shot.

There is a lot of copper and gold that wasn't recovered from processing the Giant Pit reserves. Unless I've got the map upside down there's about 15,000 tonnes of cu which will probably never be recovered ????. The processing at the time was only recovering about 50% of the gold so there would also seem to be about 70,000 oz of gold.

I'm wondering if all the recent testing on gold recovery which reported " 65% of the gold from a cyclone underflow is recovered by the Knelson concentrator, which is in addition to the gold to be recovered via the copper flotation plant" means that there is any possibility of recovering any of that gold economically.

The report goes into a bit more detail that is way over my head so I don't think we should get too excited.
