And along these same lines, Gillard is a very ambitious politician. She proposes major reforms, such as the NBN, or restructuring health care in Australia to centralize some of the hospital costs on the central government. Abbott seems more like a traditional politician who just picks away at the edges of things.
In the US our politicians are mostly cowards. They never state a clear policy, let alone a major policy initiative, let alone more than one in the same week of talking. :)
Gillard has guts. I give her that.
