So my friend had a high level look at the two presentations on that webpage and thinks its promising.
My friend thinks biologics drug delivery is not so much of an issue generally, although PYCs CPPs seem to be better (in vitro). However, there may be a relevance in relation to oncology targets due to (perhaps) the greater concentration of drugs that need to be delivered - basically my friend is not convinced on this point yet. Need to do more research.
The Myc1 - which I presume is PYC's own myc inhibitor - looks good, but based on slide 43 of the Tides pres it doesn't look better than oMyc. However, slide 44 of the same pres suggests PYC's proprietary myc inhibitor may be able to act for a longer period of time within the cell - this could be significant because it ultimately has a bearing on how much drug a patient needs to take i.e. patient compliance.
The results are very interesting but I stress these are in vitro apart from the one mouse model study. If this works in animal models and gets itself to an IND Phase 1 - that would be fantastic!
My personal view is (and my friend agrees) that if PYC can inhibit myc, then they are about to crack the holy grail in oncology and based on these presentations, they are a few steps forward from where they were mid last year.
I'm a bit annoyed that PYC has not released these presentations to the ASX after they have visited the scientific meetings.
