Quite some time ago now, JL and myself* were being taunted here by a couple of rampers who were mocking us and inviting us to hold the ribbon on opening day of the urea plant. In return, the other side of the bet was set that if the urea plant was not operational by 01 Jan 2027, then the rampers were obliged to walk backwards from Leigh Creek along what is left of the railway line to Parachilna, where we would buy them a beer and a road kill burger at the Prarie Hotel.
I hope they remember their sunscreen and hats because it will be mid Summer and it is increasingly likely that an ouitback walk is on the cards.
