I like your idea, but I feel sure that they wouldn't be even proposing this, if they didn't think they had the numbers already.
I'd say the last thing they'd want (or be expecting to get), is a pushback from shareholders that's big enough to even dent the momentum of this acquisition.

Whilst I see your point, sadly I see this as a play where they hold all the cards and that they'll really only give up whatever they're actually willing to give up.

Others may see this differently (Rick....Kj).
I'll be happy to listen to alternative points of view and for me to be corrected where I have my facts either wrong....or misunderstood.
