Judge orders Vango to pay 80% of Billabong's costs.
Clearly, whoever requested the moderators remove my earlier post that "Vango lost", as unsubstantiated, was wrong. Vango clearly did lose.
Here's your substantiation: the judge's order, issued yesterday. See page 60:
"The defendants are to pay 80% of the plaintiff's taxed costs of the
proceedings, including all reserved costs, on the basis that all applicable
limits on cost, as fixed by the Legal Profession (Supreme and District
Court) (Contentious Business Costs Determination 2020 and the Legal
Profession (Supreme and District Court) (Contentious Business) Costs
Determination 2018 are to be removed for the purposes of a taxation
exercise pursuant to s 280(2) of the Legal Profession Act 2008 (WA)"
