    Don't expect anything awe-inspiring from a directions hearing. I have been party to one of these.

    Very much a non-event (if there is such a thing in a case of this potential magnitude). It could be before the judge for as little as 30 minutes or less, including the time it takes for the judge to take a swig of scotch from his hip-flask while the barristas (not a spelling error) bore him with the details.
